Gemini extensions not available when signed in with a workspace account

Do you mean the Gemini functionality to Google Chrome? this is right now only available for US.

Yes. I cannot turn on extensions so i can use the @ symbol to chat with my goole drive docs or youtube.

It could be that you are using a Workspace account, to use the Gemini web app as explained here   you must use a personal account, meaning any google account that is not managed in a workspace environment, to fully use Gemini with your apps if you are using workspace already in that account you have you get the add on gemini for workspace.

I purchased the Gemini add-on. It appears that the extensions feature is coming soon. (as it is grayed out). I want to be able to talk to my Drive documents as i do in the personal account.
