Google Docs: pageless mode update?

Back in 2021-05-18, pageless support for Google Docs was mentioned in this post:

Pageless format in Docs will allow you to remove the boundaries of a page to create an infinite surface to work on.

It was also mentioned in this product blog post.

When can we expect this to become available? We're on the Rapid Release track. I don't see anything relevant in page setup or view options.

Definitely looking forward to this feature myself. In the meantime, I reduce margins in my Docs to make as much use of the canvas as I can in the current paper-based paradigm 😉

6 months without an update is kind of absurd at this point.

Wi might stick with Dropbox Paper at this point. Is updating continuously and seems to work just fine. I wish for the update to kicking but no signs of happening.

That's radiculous they announced pageless format in May and in December there's no sign it's even close.

In the coming months...so I'm hoping it's less than a year, but these vague timelines is normally all we can expect from Google.

@zssdhr still falls with the In the coming months... statement.  If it goes beyond a year then "months" is getting a bit inaccurate.  Google only gives these as something its aiming for: it rarely commits to a date and even if it does it can change it.

I still don't see pageless mode - either for personal Google Docs or professional paid Google Workspace.
