Groups to assign Google Workspace Enterprise Plus license

Hello, 

We are looking at automating the license assignment for new and termed users in our organization. Currently, this is being done manually and we would like to automate this process.  Can we use groups for Gsuite license assignment and disable the license. If so, how can this be done and if not, do you have any alternatives?

@tmorris no you cannot use Groups but you can use Organisational units - see:
