First, if it helps, the email address will be in the same domain name as your workspace domain (e.g., @example.com, not @gmail.com).
Second, check out all the various options for recovering admin access to your Google Workspace account at https://support.google.com/a/answer/33561?hl=en.
There are a number of options there including getting in touch with support as well as technical methods to prove to Google that you own your domain name and should be allowed to access the Workspace instance.
Hope that helps,
Ian
Hi Ian,
Thank you for your reply and the helpful information.
I’ve tried to reset or guess the username tied to my domain email, but unfortunately without success. One issue I'm facing is that in my Namecheap account (where I purchased the domain), there are no DNS records pointing to Google, which seems unusual. This makes me unsure whether the domain was ever fully connected to Google Workspace in the first place.
Also, I’ve found it very difficult to get any direct support from Google — the chat support is always unavailable and there doesn't seem to be a way to contact them without being logged in, which I can’t do.
At this point, I'm not sure what else to try. Do you have any suggestions for how to proceed in a case like this, especially if there’s no clear DNS link to Google?
Thanks again for your time and help,
I’d suggest carefully following all of the steps in the “Recover administrator access using support-assisted recovery” on the page I mentioned above.
