I recently noticed the yellow "external" warning label on emails in my Gmail account in the iPhone app. I used to get this in the web view but turned it off a long time ago. It is still OFF in my admin menu. I run a one-person organization so all emails are "external." This label is useless and unnecessary, at least in my case. Not sure why it has suddenly appeared on mobile. Is there some way I'm missing to turn it off? And why would Google turn this ON with no way to turn it off, especially for those of us who already turned it OFF in our Workspace admin console? Hopefully, I'm missing something because this is irritating.
Hello!
I believe that is a configuration that was set by your administrator.

Hi, thx, I am the administrator. There is only one person in my domain (me). I turned it off a LONG time ago in my admin menu — but it recently appeared in my mobile Gmail app. Someone elsewhere said there's no way to turn it off right now for mobile (and there's nothing related to mobile in that menu from the support link you shared) but that it exists somewhere in this forum as a feature request. I wasn't able to see the feature request and also wanted to raise awareness of this ongoing problem, which is why I put it here. Also to see if anyone DOES have a solution.
