How to remove a domain from Google Workspace

I previously signed-up with Google Workspace but decided to cancel the sub a day or so later.

I am now trying to take out a new Workspace sub with a third party but I am receiving the error:

"It looks like [domain] already has an active Google Workspace subscription, so we can't automatically configure a subscription for you. Please contact support to learn how to resolve this issue."

I don't have an active Workspace subscription (confirmed via Billing>Subscriptions within the Admin Console).

However, my domain is still listed within Accounts>Domains>Manage Domains.

I have followed Google's instructions to remove a domain:

Before you begin: If you’re removing a secondary domain, complete the steps in I'm removing a secondary domain (above on this page).

1. Sign in to your Google Admin console.
2. In the Admin console, go to Menu and then Account and then Domains and then Manage domains.
3. Find the domain that you're removing and click Remove.
4. Click Remove Domain to confirm.

The problem is, there's no option to 'remove' next to my listed domain.

Any suggestions?
