I've lost access to my workspace email

okay, this is a weird situation.

We have a G-suite Workspace group that my ex-husband made for our family. He came up with his own domain name and set it up through SquareSpace, then connnected it to google. He was the admin, I am a user.

Unfortunately, he is no longer available to troubleshoot as he has gone completely off the grid. In the meantime, the account has been suspended (I assume due to non-payment) and I can't get into my email that has EVERYTHING. I am not able to update the payment info to catch up the account because I'm not an administrator. I'm not tech savvy, and the only instructions I got from google support talked about verifying DNS Ownership and I have absolutely no idea what it's talking about.

Any advice would be helpful, this is such a headache!

Check out all the various options for recovering admin access to your Google Workspace account at https://support.google.com/a/answer/33561?hl=en.

There are a number of options there including getting in touch with support as well as technical methods to prove to Google that you own your domain name and should be allowed to access the Workspace instance.

Hope that helps,

Ian
