Mail Forwarding

Hello,

I would like to know when the mail forwarding in the Gmail setting was created. The creation date is crucial. Any idea how to find it?
The call center guided me here.

Thank You,
Fateme

@Fateme I believe if you look at the original message and look at the Received headers and read them in order, you will be able to find the information about when it was received last.  Have you tried that? -KAM

@KAM My question is how I can find the mail forwarding creation date. I couldn't find anywhere. Where is the Reciveved header?

It sounds like maybe you're trying to figure out when mail forwarding was enabled on a particular account?

If so, you can do this with the free, open source, command-line, indispensable GAM tool. Check out:

for more details.

More specifically, see https://github.com/taers232c/GAMADV-XTD3/wiki/Reports, and the command might look like:

gam report user_accounts user example@example.org event email_forwarding_out_of_domain

Note, though, that Google only keeps these logs for 180 days, so any change before that would not be available.

Hope that helps,

Ian
