Need HELP in guiding how to recover GDrive lost files (not deleted)

I am facing an unusual problem with viewing and recovering pre-saved files from Google Drive.
I used to store all my work files in the drive, and access them through the Drive PC sync client.

  1. All of a sudden (an unfortunate incident *), all the files are no longer in the drive folder in my PC.
  2. I accessed the Google Drive files from the web, but I found it completely empty. I also checked my trash, which is empty, too.
  3. The screenshot below from the admin console window shows I have 57.87 GB of files stored in the drive. But they are nowhere to be found.

Now, the thing is, when the drive shows I am occupying space, that means I must have the files in the cloud. But the drive is not showing anything.

I checked the admin console and wanted to restore from the panel. It does not allow to restore files deleted for over 30 days. Well, I did that, too - but there is no trace of the files that have been missing.

Could you please help me in guiding how I can recover all the files, that I have been saved for over 2 years.

Thank you.

Additional information:
* Unfortunate incident means, I accidentally deleted the Google Drive folder (real-time synced) from my PC. Due to the huge size, it got permanently deleted.
Realizing my mistake, I quickly visited the Drive on the web, and the rest is mentioned above.

Three thoughts:

1) (Maybe you already did this, just confirming): Check the trash in Google Drive on the web (not your computerโ€™s trash): https://support.google.com/drive/answer/1716222?co=GENIE.Platform%3DDesktop&oco=2

2) Try recovering the files as an admin: https://support.google.com/a/answer/6052340?hl=en

3) Contact support ASAP (https://support.google.com/a/answer/1047213?hl=en) โ€” I believe thereโ€™s a small window where they can restore stuff even after itโ€™s no longer visible to you.
Hope that helps, at least a little,

Ian

Thanks. I already tried the first 2 solutions, but with no success.

I figured out that Google Drive does not recognize those files at all. There is no trace of them in Drive trash (web). They just occupy spaces but are somehow not visible or accessible.

That's why when I tried to recover from the admin console, it just returned me some unnecessary files which I willingly deleted days back, but did not show any files that are actually lost.

Thanks again, I gotta try the third option.

Good luck! I really hope it all works out! ๐Ÿคž

It worked. Got my files back. ๐Ÿ™‚

How did that happen? I've been in contact with Google support for two weeks and they still haven't been able to fix it!
