Out of office message for employee on leave

Can admins set an out of office email on employee's that are already on leave?

There are two methods to do this:

* reset the password and login with the user and do it in their own Gmail (not great)

* using the API with GAM:

gam user firstname.lastname@yourdomain.com vacation on subject "On holiday until 2nd Jan" message "Hello,

I'm on holiday until 2nd January 2024. If you need help please contact someone.else@yourdomain.com

Yes, you can set an out of office email with GAM or GAMADV-XTD3. These are free solutions, see https://github.com/taers232c/GAMADV-XTD3/wiki.
Another option to purchase Patronum.
