Possible to specify where Drive data is stored?

I have several Gmail accounts for our local community service group.  Since we are part of a larger organization, we are supposed to follow a few rules, like ensuring that anything that our local council stores electronically, is located in Canada.

Is it currently possible to specify where the data I put in Drive is stored (think GDPR)?  I understand the whole data center, geographically redundant data storage, etc from an architectural standpoint, but I'm just trying to check a box, and satisfy an arbitrary rule without breaking the bank.

I'm thinking that if this is available at all, it's unlikely that this is available for free accounts like the ones we use.  My local group wants to move to a terrible service called sync.com solely because they offer storage in Canada

Any thoughts welcome.
