I wanted to send my idea to google well written in Power Point and its potential to Google and YouTube.

I opened "Submit ideas for Google Workspace" and i click somewhere and received this message

"Your request to join was sent January 3, 2022

You will receive a notification if your request is approved".

Therefore, my simple question is how long does clearance take and how do I know when I've been approved.

Hi,

That space is basically restricted to Workspace Admins, in the past it was manually verified after that to confirm you are a reasonably big customer.

If that's the case for you and there is no reply after few days you can reach out to community manager here or your Google Account Manager.
