Until very recently, employees within my organisation have been able to share specific files and folders within our organisational shared drive with 'anyone with the link'. We have done this hundreds of times to share files with the partners we work with, on our website etc.
However, suddenly we cannot share any files as 'Anyone with the link' unless we set the whole shared drive and everything in it as 'Anyone with the link'. I have checked ALL of our settings in the admin console to make sure public sharing is available, I have checked my permissions for that particular shared drive and the permissions of my colleagues and the settings for that particular shared drive. I have followed every article I can find but cannot get the option to share an individual file publicly without making the whole drive public.
I don't understand why this is an issue all of a sudden when it has worked fine for months and months?
