Unauthenticated email from <domain> is not accepted due to domain's DMARC policy.?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hello @GregoryAernoudt !
The domain 1000poot.be has a dmarc policy set in the DNS:
The DMARC policy basically says " If you receiving an email that is from my domain, but is not authenticated, you must reject!"
What is a authenticated email in the context?
Is an e-mail who passes the DKIM and SPF authentication!
When you check this information about this domain:
SPF is NOT SET:
The Google Workspace dkim was added:
But this only means that the Google's DKIM was added to the DNS, but DKIM must be activated in the Workspace Admin Console.
You can check if was activated in this link:
https://admin.google.com/u/0/ac/apps/gmail/authenticateemail?hl=en-us
It must be like this:
If it is not then you must click in the button below saying "authenticate emails", as the entry is already set, then it will validate and activate the DKIM.
With this, we can conclude that any message send it by this domain as it is, it will be rejected!
If you're the owner of the domain you must do the fix, but if this a contact of you, you must ask him to do as i will explain bellow, because this a problem of the domain configuration.
So... the options to fix this problem are:
1 - You can just remove the DMARC entry from the DNS or change de policy to "none", so it won't block the messages. (Quick fix)
2 - You can just create the SPF entry and make sure that the DKIM is active on the domain(Best practice).
Hope this helps,
Best regards
