What happens if I start a paid Google Workspace Business account and later apply for a Google Workspace for Nonprofit account?

Will it be problematic or troublesome to convert or transfer the account? Has anyone gone down this path with nonprofit clients?

I currently have a nonprofit client with a paid Workspace Business account and I would like for them to apply for Workspace for Nonprofits. It was a cumbersome process for my 60+ nonprofit client - and I'm wondering if this makes the application process more difficult.
