I have been trying to recover my account for a month. I have read all of the tips and the tips folks on here consistently point to don't match my user experience. So what do when do when there is a disconnect connect between Google Help content and Users actual experience??
Example : Web text says that your Recovery email address can be used for account recovery. However, no option is ever given during the recovery process to receive a code at your recovery email address. Just the account you are trying to recover ... !!! How crazy is that!!... or the phone numbers you have provided. If can't do either of those then goes directly to can't verify rather than having an option to use the recovery email OR to answer questions as the Help text suggests. In my case, my phone number is populated x2 with my Google Voice number which I am also logged out of. Therefore recovery to the gmail I can't access or phone I can't access is impossible .. if experience matched help text and I could use my recovery email or answer questions my problem would be resolved. So who addresses this kind of disconnect??
