Hello, I've been trying to gain access to my old workspace email. Old admin gave admin status to me, I logged in, subscribed to Business essentials, made sure domains were connected, and gmail was active. However, gmail will NOT show up in my available apps and when I am actually in gmail in my personal profile, I can switch to other email accounts and see inboxs' but it doesn't allow me to select my workspace email even though it has logged in and continues to say "gmail isn't available to me contact your admin to allow it." ..... I have done all that. I need serious help with this I feel I am in a weird loophole....

I'm wondering if I could change my primary domain to my new website if I switched the email over to that domain also if that could fix the issue and still have all my old emails in my inbox.

@BLISDON I'm afraid I don't 100% follow what you are trying to do. But it sounds like you used to have Google Workspace.

If that subscription was let lapse, resubscribing again will not make your old email reappear. How long again did you let the subscription lapse? Unless it's been a few days, that data is almost certainly 100% irretrievable, I'm sorry to say.

Additionally, it sounds like you have signed up for the free Google Workspace Essentials. That SKU does not include Gmail as it's intended for collaboration only. More here: https://workspace.google.com/essentials/

I am having a similar issue! I accidentally cancelled my old workspace account but then resubscribed to a Google Workspace Enterprise Essentials and it appears that my email address and domain are set up properly but I do not have the gmail app available. I have gone through all of the setup steps and made the new MX record and also confirmed with GoDaddy that it is done correctly. The Google Admin Dig tool sees these but when I do the MX check it says that my domain requires at least 1 mail server. I can't seem to get my email set up. I'm not trying to recover my old email data - I just want email to work!
