Is there any way to have an email sent notifying the group owner(s) and/or manager(s) when someone leaves the group?

Hi!

Yes, you can set an alert on reports, to send an e-mail when someone leaves a group.

Go to Reports  > Google Groups.

Now, you can create an alert to send you an e-mail when someone leaves any group or you can define the specific group on the filters.

In the first example is an alert to report when someone leaves any group:

And now a filter to check a specific group:

After chose the filters, you just have to set the alert.

Is there an updated solution to do this in 2024? Seems the Google settings have changed and following these steps no longer works.

I duplicated this by searching for and going to Audit and investigation under Reporting. Then Create Reporting Rule. Under Conditions I selected Groups log events > Condition builder > Event > Remove User
