superadmin need of subscription help

So... I know this isn't the most unique problem. But, I've looked through what seems like hundred q+a's in the forum and haven't found one that offers a solution that's worked.

In short: I used to have a google one account. I used it to sign up for Google Workspace for Education. I realized GW for E wasn't for me and I couldn't afford to keep paying for it anyway. Unsubscribed to  workspaces less than 30 days ago.

I thought I had gotten all my data off my google drive before unsubscribing but I can see (via the storage management window) that there's @ 1gb of data still there. I can still log in as superuser admin & have access to the admin console. Here's what I've tried

1) Tried re-subscribing google workspace for education. I am within the 50 day period to be able to do this. No joy. Can't add any subscription - they all show as NOT AVAILABLE. I also can’t purchase more user licenses.

2) Tried downloading my drive contents through TakeOut. No good. Google drive does not show up in the list of available data sources. Also tried MultCloud and Transfer Files. None of these work.

3) Tried using Data Export and even set up a google cloud account to receive exported data. No google drive data comes through.

4) Tried clicking on “GET MORE STORAGE”, mainly because that option pops up right at the top of my admin console. This brings me to a page that says “Unable to find storage options”

In short, I can’t download my data. I can’t re-subscribe to workspace. My account wasn't suspended and it wasn't overdue for payment. Anyone got any suggestions on how I can get my data? Any suggestions on how to  contact the official google workspace team for help?

Contact Google Workspace support directly through the Admin Console’s Support section. They can help reactivate your subscription or temporarily enable access to recover your data. Don’t wait—you’re on a timer with their retention policy!

Once you regain access, consider using a third-party backup solution like CubeBackup. With CubeBackup, your data is stored independently on your own storage (like Google Cloud, AWS, or a local server), meaning even if your Google Workspace subscription lapses or your account gets deactivated, you’ll still have access to all your data. This way, you can restore your files anytime, ensuring you’re never in this situation again. It's a solid safety net for critical data!
