I have an 800 mb CSV stored in cloud storage and I am trying to download
it to my local computer to use with tableau public. but for some reason
the file doesn't save as a csv just as a "file" and I can't do anything
with that. Any suggestions?
Figured out the issue. application/stream-octet saves documents as
arbitrary binary data with the intention of maintaining data integrity
of the file but relies on the receiver application to determine file
type usually by the name of the original fi...
So I just checked and the file type says, application/octet-stream. I
exported the file from big query as a CSV and assumed
application/octet-stream was an internal term for gcs and didnt really
matter but it could be the issue.
