Unable to Increase Quota for aiplatform.googleapis.com/generate_content_requests_per_minute_per_proj

Hi, I’m encountering an issue with the Vertex AI API when using the imagen-3.0-generate model. I keep receiving the following error message:

GoogleApiError: Quota exceeded for aiplatform.googleapis.com/generate_content_requests_per_minute_per_project_per_base_model with base model: imagen-3.0-generate.

I attempted to increase the quota for generate_content_requests_per_minute_per_project_per_base_model, but it seems that this quota for the imagen-3.0-generate model is not available to request an increase in the Google Cloud Console.

Steps I’ve Taken:

1. Checked my current quota usage in IAM & Admin > Quotas on Google Cloud Console.
2. Looked for the option to request a quota increase for aiplatform.googleapis.com/generate_content_requests_per_minute_per_project_per_base_model, but it appears unavailable for the specific imagen-3.0-generate model.

Questions:

1. Is there a way to increase this specific quota for imagen-3.0-generate?
2. Are there alternative steps I can take to resolve this limitation, such as contacting support for a manual increase or using a different model?

It appears that the Google Cloud Console currently does not offer the option to request a quota increase for the imagen-3.0-generate model. This is likely because the model is still in its early access or private preview stage.

In your case, I suggest contacting Google Cloud Support, as they can provide more insights and take a deeper look at the issue regarding quota increase. Provide them with detailed information about the problem, including error messages, steps you've taken, and the urgency of resolving the issue.

Hi @MJane I still don't see an option to request to increase imagen 3 limitations and this is very important to us to choose Google Cloud going forward instead of having to resort to something like open source image generation models. I find no way to contact google beyond the billing contact which gets redirected to another company that tries to sell me google cloud but is not directly responsible for the rate limit requests.

Please let me know how I can get into direct contact as we are a big startup in the making that could make google a lot of imagen 3 requests if permitted to do so.
