This month, we wanted to highlight this tip from @MultiTech on how to implement a “Quick Update System” inside your app so you can solve questions like this:
Here’s an overview of AppSheet product updates and enhancements over the past month. To stay up-to-date with the latest, make sure you subscribe to Release Notes.
Visualize app data using Data Studio (rollout)
As an app editor, you can now visualize your app data using Data Studio (currently in preview). Previously, only app creators were able to use this feature. See Manage app permissions for individual users to manage app permissions.
Removing Save and Notify options from Save menu (rollout)
To minimize confusion, we have removed the Save and Notify option from the Save menu. You can still broadcast a notification to users from the Manage > Broadcast Notifications pane.
Support multiple parameters in an API path
For Apigee data sources, the OpenAPI Spec Apigee connection now supports multiple parameters in API paths that are defined in an OpenAPI Spec. For more information, see Support multiple parameters in an API path.
Manual configuration of an Apigee data source now supports write operations
Previously, manual configuration of an Apigee data source only supported read operations. Now, write operations are supported. For more information, see Use an Apigee data source.
The Preview Program is where AppSheet app creators can try out new app features that are not yet fully supported (learn more and how to get started here). Here’s what’s currently available in the program:

Notification bell
We are thrilled to announce the immediate availability of the Notification Bell! With the Notification Bell, we hope to provide you with quicker access to your latest notifications without having to go to the notifications page every time.
The Notification Bell can be found directly to the left of your profile picture on the top right corner of the screen. As you navigate through the Community, you’ll be alerted to any new notifications via the red circle and number over the bell icon as shown in the image below.
For more details on the Notification Bell, please review the announcement post.
Help text for preference options
Within “My Settings>Preferences>Preference Options,” added a hover over icon that provides help text to explain the impact of enabling or adjusting the various options.
Solution accepted notifications
When there were multiple replies on a topic and only one was marked as a solution, each user that had a reply was getting a notification that their reply was marked as a solution. This has been fixed so only the person who commented with the accepted solution receives that notification.
For more information, see the June Release Notes post here.
We hope you enjoy our new feature updates and thank you to all our Community members who continue to make this space an engaging and informative place to be. If you have any feedback, please feel free to add your thoughts to the Community Feedback forum here or add a comment directly to this post.
