Action: copy data to child table with dropdown menu

I have a parent and a child table, I need to add data to the child table with a 'Data: add a new row to an other table using values from this row' action which passes along the parent table ID value plus I need to be able to choose via dropdown ref or list values to the child table.

Is this possible?

I´ve tried 'input' expression and it works at the  child table level, I´ve tried 'input' , 'select' and other list expressions in the parent leveñ 'action' to no avail, no dropdown menu is forthcoming as with 'input' expression at the child table action.

Any help will be highly appreciated, I¨ve been cracking my head on this for a few weeks.

Dropdown contents for a column in Form view depend on the Suggested Values and Valid if  expressions for that column. It has nothing to do with bots.
