Good morning all,
When adding new data in the form section, once you select save, I need it to view the inline details on the entry, not the main view.
I can only find it returns to the main view.
Can someone help, please?
Thanks
Sorry, this isn't making sense. Can you please elaborate?
Adding a new details in th form section, once you have finished entering the detail you then select save, then the system takes to back to the main view. I want it to take you to The inline view of those details you have just saved.
I only see that you can return to the main view, not the inline views on the options in the app.
I hope this makes more sense.
Thanks
I am not sure but let me re-phrase....
When you open a Form View - the "Main Form", you have an Inline table in that form for which you can tap the Add button, open another Form view and add details for that new Inline table row.
Tapping save on the Inline Table Form View, returns the user to the "Main Form" but instead you wish to navigate to a view with a table showing the details just entered.
Is that correct?
The short answer is no, you cannot adjust the Form navigation to deviate this way. Here's why.
First, some terminology...we refer to this Form and Inline table as a Parent/Child relationship. When you enter the "Main Form", it is the Parent row you are adding details for. That Parent can have multiple sets of Child tables and each is represented as an Inline table inside of the Parent Form view.
Tapping Add on one of the Child Inline Tables, opens a Form View for that child to enter its details ... BUT when you tap Save, there is only a "temporary" version of that row saved within the context of the Parent form View. These are not available to view outside of the Parent Form view. So, if you were to Cancel out of the Parent form View, all the "temporary" Child row entries would be discarded and no other processing needs to occur to "clean up".
In order for all Child row entries to be formally saved, the Save button on the Parent Form View would ALSO need to be tapped.
Now, having said that, when you tap Save on a Child Form View and are returned to the Parent Form view, you should see the newly added row inserted into the Inline Table shown on that Parent Form View. Is that not happening for you?
Am I understanding your use case properly?
