Allow bulk select for card view type in UX?

One thing I like about card view is the ability of  showing the image of the item.

However, whenever I use a card view type, the bulk select checkbox button is gone.

Is it possible to activate bulk select for card view type?

Alternatively, is it possible to show image when using list view type?

I think you are correct that card views do not have option for bulk select. You may wish to consider other summary view options as below for having the bulk select option.

If by list view you mean table view, yes you can show images even though not in a very neat manner as shown below
