Appsheet generated pdf formatting from Google Doc

So I have been trying to get this to work for some time, to no avail. So far the best advice I have been able to find is "Use Word". Essentially, when trying to generate a pdf using a template built in Google docs, its formatting comes out all broken. Here is what they look like.
