How many characters does the TEXT type hold?
How many characters does the LONGTEXT type hold?

Diving deeper didn’t give much info:

Text Types

  • Text : a single line of text.
  • LongText : one or more lines of text.
  • Name : the name of a person or place.

I don’t know that there are hard limits on the length of either. What are your intentions?
