Connecting MySQL Database Requirements

Hello everyone, When I look at AppSheet’s subscription plans, I see that an Enterprise plan is required for MySQL database integration. However, since I have the Core plan through Google Workspace, I tried connecting to a MySQL database, and it works. How is this possible? Are there any limitations to this?

It's fine when the App is not published...try publishing it.

thank you so much for response. When we purchase a Google Workspace Enterprise Standard subscription, which AppSheet plan do we get? Core plan or Enterprise plan? Do you know?

This is a huge bone of contention for me actually.

Google has decided that even if you have Workspace Enterprise for your users that you must purchase $20 licences extra per user if you want to use other data sources such as Cloud SQL (Again, you are paying Google to set up and use Cloud SQL in the first place).

I think Appsheet should have provided Core service to Core Workspace subscribers and Enterprise service to Workspace Enterprise subscribers...total simplification of the licensing model.  But aha!  Less money for Google!

Pay no attention to me, I am in a foul mood due to lack of Appsheet Support services...ooo!  Wonder if Google would charge for support soon 😂

Haha you're absolutely right. I hope they come up with a solution for this
