Create one only action button to be used in various tables

is it possible to create an action button to be uses once for all, in various tables, without to create it (duplicate / copy) for each table ?

I would think that this is not possible since actions are created per table. When you create an action, the first thing it will ask for is the table in which you want to add the action and the button you create will be for that table.

What I can think of is creating an action in an auxiliary table that takes you to a form that, once saved, executes an action. This action could trigger changes in the tables you choose. But I have never done it so it is just thinking out loud.
