Desktop Preview UI - Start with Hamburger Menu Expanded?

Playing with a new app for the billing department and am liking the look and feel, but am wondering, is there an option to start with the hamburger menu expanded in desktop mode instead of collapsed?

also, what about the "header" above each of the sections that appears to be showing the key for that record. Is there a way to control what is displayed there?
