Duplicate record button - how to do it?

I want to have an action button under a record that has more than 100 columns in it.

I tried "app: copy this row and edit the record" as an action but the application won't load, it goes to an error.

Might this be because there is some arbitrary upper limit to how many columns can be copied using this method?

What does the error message say? The clues are usually there!

Yeah, it was just meaningless.

I actually got it working, what it objected to was deleting an existing New Action button - that had no action attached to it. Strange.
