Errors when attempting to create new Account records from AppSheet into Salesforce

We have established a connection between our Salesforce Production environment and Google AppSheetConnector to facilitate bidirectional data communication. While we can successfully retrieve and load Account records from Salesforce into AppSheet, we encounter errors when attempting to create new Account records from AppSheet into Salesforce.

Steps to Reproduce:

  • Open Google AppSheet and ensure it is connected to our Salesforce Production environment via AppSheetConnector.
  • Attempt to create a new Account record by providing the required fields: FirstName, LastName fields, RecordTypeId, and OwnerId.
  • Submit the new record for creation.
  • In Appsheet though we only have a Name record.

Error Message that we receive is:

"message":"Unable to create/update fields: Name. Please check the security settings of this field and verify that it is read/write for your profile or permission set.","errorCode":"INVALID_FIELD_FOR_INSERT_UPDATE","fields":"Name"

Additional Information:

  • We have Person Accounts enabled. We have a Record Type called Organization for the Standard Account, and we have two Record Types called Beneficiary and Individual Stakeholder for Person Accounts. This issue happens for all Record Types.

  • User that is logged in into AppSheet has the System Administrator Profile assigned in Salesforce and all the necessary permissions.

  • We also tried fetching and inserting data with Custom Objects and didn’t encounter any issues.

Thank you for your help!
