Dear Appsheeters,
Is there any possibility to create a Full Screen Form View instead of Split View?
I believe in the past I have seen someone created a Full Screen Form View .
Many thanks.
Solved! Go to Solution.
There is no option to display a multi-column form view at all. The closest you can get is edit in-place, but as you pointed out, that's only for existing rows.
What do you mean by full screen vs split screen?
Dear @AlexM ,
Please refer to my previous message. I have put two screenshot sample of what i need to achieve.
The default appsheet Form View, is only available in "Split View" style, where you cannot have a full screen Input Form with multi column so in one screen you can have so many fields. Which is quite annoying If I have a form with so many data field, to be filled tab by tab. It will be nicer if at least each tab can be stretch to full screen with at least three column / panels to the right, like the Detail View i have shown previously.
If you mean in desktop view, you can make an action "APP: Go to another view..." and link to a view (form).
No i think you don't get my point.
Each time i create a new record, even though my settings are correct, which is DesktopView, the apps keep showing the "Add New" Form with Split View (no matter what), look at my previous message, where I put the screenshot.
I need an input form (form view) with the ability to "full screen form" so you can have so many fields all at once without keep clicking the Tabs to input data.

Thanks @Steve
It's a big miss from appsheet.
I believe a fullscreen input form should be a standard in today's business. Most of the apps have those fullscreen multi column input form with sections to easily categorized information.
I know this Appsheet is designed with "mobile view" in mind. But I think they really need to re-think and redesign their UI/UX to make it more feasible for both user and app developers.
Appsheet also needs a WYSIWYG Editor to keep up the game with PowerApps.
@stephenrich
Have you checked the app I shared and the YouTube video?
Can you give me an example of the way to do it right for an input new record form? I tried your advice but failed.
I Want To Create a Form View for Data Input.
My table has so many column that it would be nicer if we can have a multi column fullscreen desktop form view than just a split view like this image below.
is it possible to make it fullscreen desktop layout with multi column like the image below (but in form view for data input)?
Maybe here?
No, I want the Full Page Form Edit while ADDING a new record.
Is it possible? the Split View (Right Side only) Form while adding new record with so many column is kind of pain 😄
But you can do that if you replace the system generated ADD and EDIT actions with a new you create (link to a form-view). I wrote that earlier. Have you tried?
Sorry that I missunderstand your earlier message. My Bad. I'm sorry 🙂
Will try that. Many Thanks.

And for the record, the correct term is "App Creators"..."Appsheeters" sounds too close to something NONE of us want to be called!! 😁 😁 😁
Hahahaha, Thank you for the correction 🙂
Somehow Appsheeters sounds fancier 🙂
I SOOOO agree with you 🤣
My dear fellows Appsheeters 😂😂😂, I almost got it!
There is a short sync issue, where, for a few seconds, the "form" shows the last existing record rather than the new created one.
Other than that, have a look.

Ha ha. Cool workaround:) Thanks @AlexM 👍
But in practice, it's not really applicable.
Because it's already in detail view, you can't enforce required column 😞
I says "Save" but it only goes to another view, away from the details one with quick edit columns.
And quite a hassle for the actual benefit.
But hey! It a is multicolumn form 😉
Dear @AlexM @ Cool Solution.
But unfortunately it cant be achived without making too many Sectional Views 😃
I really hope Appsheet Team consider this to make it more user friendly without us having too many efforts to create a single form 😂
Dear Appsheetrons @Steve @AlexM @KON_TROLL @WillowMobileSys
Full-Screen Multi Section with Multi Column per Row will be great (like the sample I made in Apps Scripts below)
I am confident they will as they did with many things in the past.
I have been on Appsheet for probably about 7 years now and it has come a long way since.
this App is wonderful. I really hope that Google is not only focusing on AI Development, but also give some love to this Appsheet and make it a very powerful no-code app dev.

In your opinion, what is needed to make it more powerful?
@WillowMobileSys In mine, a bit more control over the UI.
Same with @AlexM , We Need WYSIWYG Editor 😁
If not WYSIWYG Editor, at least give us possibilities to change the title size, multi columns form view, More options for Dashboard Reporting, More options for creating custom Chart Color depends on the selected values, not randomly.
And fix the automation bot to make it smarter and proper to trigger actions without hazzle.
