Based on understanding of your requirement, please make the column that you want to display text as label in the table.

AppSheet allows one text column and one image column together as label. Then that text and image columns designated as labels display instead of the reference column ( key of parent) in the referenced table.

So if you want both image and text as your second example shows , please make both the image column and a text column as a lable of the table.

Please follow guideline that label columns also typically need to have a unique image or text for each row and should not be repetitive across the rows.

Example: The product table has both product name and image marked as label.

Both show together in the referenced Order details table's detail view.
