Google Maps API access

I'm trying to access the Google Maps API from a Node.js but get a 405 error ERR_BAD_REQUEST.

I have what I believe got the correct details via Settings | Integrations on the AppSheet app and have used the app_id and access key to create the get request.

I have successfully tested the Google Maps API https://maps.googleapis.com/maps/api/geocode/json?place_id=ChIJC9jgjMIO1moR6vWFxcpVpEw&key=<my_key>

Is there any other security settings on the AppSheet end to enable API access?
