I am new to AppSheets and I am not a programmer. I am attempting to create a Current User list.
I have three user tables called Mission Team, Volunteers and Retreatants. I would like to create one current user list with their email address, team name and role. I would then like to use this Current user list for filtering of information. I also only want users who are currently active in our mission.
Each AppSheet table has a Row ID, email column, Team Name and role column, etc. Is there a way to create a Current user list combining all Current users into one list for filtering? If so, can you give me a sample of the expression?
Hi. Its possible, but it seems you work the other way around. Normally you would create one table with all users from Mission Team, Volunteers and Retreatants. And then make slices for each one of them (with the columns you need for each of them). That makes more sence. And then a slice with just needed user info. Easier and more efficient.
I set up three tables thinking it would be more efficient and better for long term use. The Team Members will be a much smaller group of people, The will probably stay with the organization for a longer period of time. The organize and steer the "Mission". The Volunteers and Retreatants will come and go on a yearly basis. So the Volunteers and Retreatant tables will grow substantially over time. Am I off base in my thinking?
I agree with @KON_TROLL: slices seem like a good choice here.
You'r welcome:)
