How to develop AppSheet enhancements/updates without interrupting current users?

I have a scenario where I have a deployed AppSheet app, and I want to make additional changes while minimizing any downtime or negative end-user experience.

What are the best practices for this?  

Is there a way that I can make changes and test before pushing these changes out to end users?

Hi, 

Make a copy of your app, and apply your changes and tests to the copied version. 

Go to the MANAGE tab of your original app, and then to Versions. You'll see App Upgrade. You can then apply the changes to your original app by putting in the AppID of your modified copy.
