How to set up menu filter?

Hello,

I am using AppSheet for the first time to make a compilation of resources for my team. I have a spreadsheet with lists of resources and what tools they include, and if they have it, their box is marked with an "X".

In the app, I want a way to filter the resources like this, and although the app does recognize it, as shown here, when I click it it gives me a search bar and I have to type in "X" to find it. 

How can I format this differently so I can just click on it without it giving me a search box?
