Interactive Dashboard - Detail views shows data even when nothing is selected

Hi colleagues,

i have build an app with a worklfow where every step has his dashboard. For more details u can click in the list and see the details.

The Problem is that sometimes the detail views are not empty even when nothing is selected.
Its even worse for the child tables. I have a child table for the comments done while my record goes through the Workflow. in the dashboard i can see the whole child table as long as nothing is selected.

So either a “automatic selection of first item” in the parent table or a “wait for selection” in the detail views would be nice.

Hello @Pete_Bush, i’ve had a similar problem with that behaviour, basically what the app does is show all records (if possible) and for single row views (like detail view) it shows the first record from your data source.

I had success in solving that by using slices as the source for all my interactive dashboard views, it will still show all records for all view types except the single row views, but for those it won’t show anything at all until you pick a row on his parent record.

Hi thanks for the tip. I already use slices only made for theese views, so i can handle the functions available in the middle and bottom right and no functions on the left. but as u see even unselected the view on the left still shows data. in other dashboards done exactly the same way but with another filter it works perfektly.
