I have an app that displays a map based on addresses. It's been working great for nearly a year, but now most of the pins aren't displaying. If I go to the column that contains the address, on many of them, it no longer links to the map. It's as if Google Maps can't "find" these locations anymore, overnight. Any thoughts?
Make sure your view is not being subjected to the Map Pin limit. See image. Make sure it is set sufficiently high. If you see numbers on pins, that means clustering is being applied which you can adjust in the view definition itself.
Verify that the data rows haven't been filtered.
Beyond those, then find an address that should be showing but when you zoom in on the Map View it's not there. Check that address in Google itself and compare the resulting address. Insert that address into the app and see if the pin then is found and shown.
In the Address type column there is a property named "Geocoding enabled". If you turn that on, AppSheet will show details within the address field entry that reflect Google's understanding of what that address corresponds to. This can help make sure there is a proper address reflect for Google geocoding and pin coordinates.
I hope this helps!
All that is fine, but thanks for the suggestions! It appears perhaps Google Maps was having a "bad day". Now everything is working as expected again. No changes were made.
