Create your shadow columns in the spreadsheet itself, perhaps even using spreadsheet formulas.
I assumed that by "errors for views with dates" you meant that AppSheet gives you an error and won't process the columns. If the columns otherwise work and you just want to not show the NA values, use each column's Show? property.
Create an additional column--if necessary, virtual--with an app formula that replicates desired values from the existing column and ignores undesired values. Then, show that column instead of the original anywhere you need it.
