NA - non applicable error

Hi,

My Excell contains NA inputs resulting in errors for views with dates.

I don't want to change my Excell input.

Is there a solution by not showing NA's in views or another solution/work around?

There are multiple possibilities. Here are a couple.

  • Create your shadow columns in the spreadsheet itself, perhaps even using spreadsheet formulas.
  • I assumed that by "errors for views with dates" you meant that AppSheet gives you an error and won't process the columns. If the columns otherwise work and you just want to not show the NA values, use each column's Show? property.

Create an additional column--if necessary, virtual--with an app formula that replicates desired values from the existing column and ignores undesired values. Then, show that column instead of the original anywhere you need it.

Hi,

Many Thanks for proposed solution with virtual column, test is working fine!

I would like to know if there is an alternative solution, before adding 49 virtual columns ( one for each concerned Excell column) ?
