Negative prices are shown with parentheses. Can we change the behavior?

Negative prices are used to be shown with ‘-’ sign but it was changed to use the parentheses lately. Can we customize the behavior?

The reason we use price type for the column that could have negative value is that we like to show the currency symbol.
