Search-Filter UX Improvements for Filtered Data Display

I love the filter button in the search bar but I’d love a bit more field by field customization of the filter capability. For fields with finite options, it’d be great to have include/exclude multi-select capabilities vs the current filter by text with the built-in CONTAINS(filter_query). I suspect this is probably on the feature roadmap already but wanted to give it a bump for the AppSheet product team.

It's not clear if you are aware of the filtering capability of the Search function.  See the images below.

After activating Search, tap the Filter button

Columns marked as Searchable are made available for filtering

Users column allows for filtering by multiple values.  Other column types and configuration will behave differently.

Upon further investigation turns out I'm using a lot of TEXT column types that actually could be ENUM types and using VALID IF to enforce the enum rather than coding in the values (since they shift around.... is there any risk to just changing these TEXT column types to ENUM in the data structure?
