System-generated action <action> has been erroneously duplicated.

Guidance please.

With no obvious trigger, I've started to get repeated warnings across 6 tables in my app.

Your system-generated action 'View Ref (userID)' has been erroneously duplicated. We've marked it as non-system-generated so you can fix or delete it.

I've tried restarting my browser; regenerating the schemas... but with no change and just more View Refs being added with each regen.  How can I stop it / fix it?

Saludos

In case anyone else hasn't gotten any significant feedback, this can be found buried deep in another thread

Is there any expectation of an automatic rollback of all the "extra" actions, or do we now have to do the cleanup ourselves manually?

Saludos

Google Support told me delete all duplicated, triplicated, actions manually. That's so frustrating.

Yesss  .... frustrating....lots of everyone's precious time wasted 😢

some of mine replicated 7 or 8 times. no way to mass select and delete

Does reverting to a previous version remove the actions?

I think so, although I have posted an idea requesting new functionality for the new editor.

Switch to the legacy editor view:

Choose Behavior from the side menu then the Actions tab. If the actions displayed are tiles, click the icon to the right of the search bar to choose stacked layout.

As you delete actions, the remaining actions will shift up. You won't have to move the cursor to repeatedly click Delete on consecutive actions. Be careful not to click too many times! Also make sure the Save button lights up after the first deletion. Mine didn't a few times. If it doesn't, reload the editor and try again.

Thank you Steve, always trying to find a solution  👌👏

Sorry for the delay. I checked with the team. You should be able to revert to an old version. They are working on a fix that would automatically remove the duplicate actions, but I don't have an ETA for when that will be available.

Please rectify it fast ! Otherwise it creates lots and lots confusion...

Warnings perists and when I try to save, say this:

Do anyone know if this has been fixed?

I'm tired of deleting these things. I've lost 3 whole days to clean up.

My users are confused by all the erroneous items on their screens.

I don't see Google taking any responsibility for this mess.

Hi,

The problem was fix. The "Solution" by google is to delete all the duplicated actions.

Also, @Steve  gave a solution that one of my Colleagues said it worked for them by Switching to the legacy editor view. Look up in this forum "Switch to the legacy editor view:" and you will find that solution. One suggested to just go back to an old version, but I don't know it that worked because, as for me, I got lucky. In one App I only did had to delete 6 duplicated actions and didn't edit the app anymore until I knew the app problem was fix.

Hope my answer helps you and wish you good luck.

Thanks for the response.

I have 12 active apps with multiple screens.  I have found that if I delete the copy 2 times in a row (it comes back when I change the original system generated version to hide - because this "bug" turned them all on) it seems to work.

But I don't know if there is some active trigger that will reset to this mess if I regenerate my apps.

Oh. And I always work in legacy mode

Hi all, it's now almost November and I'm struggling with this issue.. unfortunately, I don't have a delete button, not even in the legacy editor:

Is there yet another workaround?

Thanks in advance

Please contact AppSheet Support for help with this.

Thank you, Steve, for your reply. I was able to solve the issue with the Google Support team. Since I had only duplicate actions for some email columns, the workaround was to change the column type to text and back, which initiated a new generation of those email actions including the deletion of the old ones. Case Closed from my side 🙂

Thanks for this trick! 👌

That's a good trick! I'll have to remember that!
