Table column editable option for users vs automated actions

Within a table, the editable? option refers to the ability to edit a form from a user perspective.

Those this applies to actions? For example, if I mark a column not-editable, because I don’t want the user to edit it, can I create automated actions that can edit this field?

Otherwise, is there an option to make a column editable only with actions, and prevent the user from editing the column within a form?
