To set 1 as a Default value of a dropdown in a form

Hi Appies,
I have “Stock” table with “Products” and “Units” columns.
From detail view of “Products” when I click on +, it takes me to edit a form.
In this form I update Units to 5 and next time when I open the form It show 5. Here, what I am trying to do is, to set 1 as a default value, when I open the form next time.

So far, what I have tried is:
from Data section > “Stock” table > column view > edit column “Units”, under this I found (Initial value - The default starting value for this column) and I updated 1. Unfortunately it still shows as 5.
