Unable to attach a PDF to an Email

Im trying to attach a generic credit app from my google drive in an email and for the life of me i cannot figure it out.

to me it should be as simple as:

  1. create workflow
  2. set condition whereas column: [Needs Credit App?]=โ€œTRUEโ€
  3. Email the Customer Credit Application.pdf to the [Client Contact Email]

Other attachments will also need the same URL link as in way 1.

Another way is during your form fillout where you click YES to send form, instead of having a URL link for you FILE type column it will let you upload your pdf file. Then when you send an email it will contain a link to this pdf.
The drag is you will have to upload the file every damn time.

I can think of 2 ways of doing it.
Way 1. have a credit application column, column type FILE, have an initial value of โ€œlink to your PDF fileโ€ (good luck figuring out the link)
way 2. in the workflow when you send email select your pdf as template if possible. You might have to recreate you credit application pdf as word doc or a google doc. Make sure that the attachment you are sending is PDF that way the credit application will be attached as PDF. See my example of how to name your file. Disable Timestamp if you dont want a bunch of number in you file name.

Thanks for the ideas,

ive not yet figured out how to link to a file in a cell in sheets,

Ive had to do the second way in the past and was hoping that there was a work around to where you can point the โ€˜Other Attachmentโ€™ to a PDF file, that never changes, and have it attached, with out having to reformat a PDF to a DOC file.

so this ended up working better than expected. i added the file once, from my computer in testing, appsheet must of put the file where it needed to be because now it works from my phone.

many thanks
