Workflow triggering with column increase/decrease, is it possible?

Hi, I’d like to know if it is possible to trigger a workflow when the value on a certain numeric column is increasing/decreasing. Currently I can only trigger it with ANY changes to the table. Is there an effective way that I can quote the previous value and the current value in the Condition field, so that an incremental/decremental change could be tracked down to trigger the appropriate actions upon?
