Hi, so i want to colorize my text according to format
if number <= target, then green text
if number > target, then red text
i created 2 format rules for 1 column
the problem is, i think my formula checks only the first row, and then applied the format to all row below like in this screenshot
i want each row to have its own condition to check itself with the target number, if below target then green, if more than target then red, did i miss something in the formula or the options ?
can you send a screenshot of the color you selected for both format rules?
So weird. What happens if you disable one of them?
sorry for the late reply @Landan_QREW ,
here i disabled the green rules, so the 3rd row must be red colored, the result is nothing is colored red / green
still disabling green and enabled red, i the first row condition is met for red color, here's what happen, all the row is red colored where the 2nd row must be green / not affected to be red colored
Have you tried to review these expressions in the test environment by selecting the 'Test' button while in the expression editor? If, so what do the results look like?
here's the test result
they result to give correct state of my required condition, some Y and some N
Are they correct in their evaluation?
@dio_als I think you should check data type for [TS A] and [Target Price] column and try changing to decimal or number once.
I have this same problem also. When doing a check to see if a number is greater than 0, it is using the result of the first row to format all other rows, even if their values are below zero.
I also see similar test results where some are Y and some are N, yet the formatting rule applies globally. The same behavior happens whether a cell is formatted as Decimal, Number, or Percent.
Formatting rules are applied in a certain order.
Check the order by clicking on the icon.
