OK, so the problem you have should be formulated differently in this case, if I have understood your problem correctly.

You first need a conversion from millions to units, and then from unit numbers to text. Therefore you should apply the text conversion on the converted lakh number. Once you have done that, the modification that you are trying to do will make sense.

If I am right, then I would first create a Virtual Column to transform the amount into the lakh number you need. Afterwards, I would substitute this column's name in the APP formula to convert it in text. Finally, it is just a problem of adding the "lakh" text to the converted text.

Last question: changing just the form name, from "Number" to "value in lakhs", wouldn't be enough to make it understandable and easier to do? It is just a suggestion actually

Since many people might not know how other nations' currency work, it is useful to give more perspective on the problem you are solving. Anyway, also today, I have learnt something new  😊
